Cosplay is a cobination of costume and play. Costumes can be purchased from specialist cosplay shops, modified everyday clothes and handmade costumes which can take upwards of several months to complete.

The play side can combine photography and videography to tell stories accuratly from digital and physical media, tell a story which is not canonical or a way to show off the hard work and effort put in to the costume itself.
